I did some research and found many day care centres for dogs in America but none in the UK so I began Doggy Doos as a dog day care centre at End Farm. The dogs benefit from more exercise and attention as well as getting lots of socialization and learning new skills and they are not stuck at home all day getting bored with nothing to do whilst their owners are at work. I have always grown up with dogs in the family and was given my own dog at 12 years old who was a terrified rescue who had been badly beaten by her previous owner. I have trained dogs in obedience, agility and heelwork to music. I have also rehabilitated around 40 rescue dogs with various issues and helped to find them a new home.At 25 years old I have 6 dogs of my own and I had a baby boy in June 2009 who comes almost every where with me whether it is collecting dogs in the van or climbing the steep slopes at the farm followed by 15 dogs. He is always happy and loves to be with me and the dogs. My own dogs are Macey, a 11 year old black Labrador, Nala who is Macey’s daughter and is a 10 year old Springerdor, Bindy is a 7 year old GSD who I rescued a few years ago, Zazu is a blue merle collie and is also 6 years old. Then last but not least I have Ollie who is a stunning tri-merle collie. He is just a year old and is a typical crazy collie. He is very clever and I have started training him a few tricks and am working on him becoming a good sheepdog (although he is a bit clueless) and possibly an agility star.
